QUILT SHOW
Yesterday, the 25th, I went to to the Tokyo Quilt Show at Tokyo Dome. The entire Dome was filled with incredibly beautiful quilts with a special exhibit of antique quilts from Sweden. I left with a small amount of fabric and loads of inspiration. Most of the books and all of the patterns were in Japanese, but, as sewing and quilting knows no borders, it was easy to see the labor and love that went into making each and every quilt up close. The junior division was especially wonderful even though some of them were held together with a few stitches here and there and possibly dabs of glue. There were lots of booths selling anything and everything a quilter could want, and I wanted it all. Well, there is another quilt show in Yokohama this fall.
