Hi! You really love to sew. Your new Issey Miyake outfit looks very comfortable to wear. The shade of the colors is so chic. I’m sure you look great wearing it at autunm college scenes.

ahhh – ripping out bad seams and ironing, two things people hate to do but are musts. it is the difference between a so-so garment/project and a really nice one. hear hear for you mom!!!

PS In one of her more lucid moments, Mom said that someone had said to her once, “I’m not a very good sewer, I never rip out seams.” Mom had replied, “I rip out seams, and that’s why I’m a good sewer.” Once again, I thought of you and the thoughtful, careful work you do.

Yep! It looks more like “Pamela” than “Issey.” Can hardly wait to see it on you in person. I’ve been working on a never-ending quilt project with my mom, the family artist, and when I read “I had to sleep on it,” it encouraged me to settle down and be patient when she says something similar. Good work seems to involve a lot of preparatory thought.

Can never have too much coffee! Sorry it’s so hot. Glad to hear it is cooler today. And, speaking about coffee, at this place we went for breakfast, they had hot water of a beige color which they sold as “coffee.” The place we stopped for lunch included (real) coffee as part of the lunch. They put a pot on the table and refilled as we gulped it down. Pot after pot–got to have the real thing.
